What is the typical French cuisine?
French cuisine is the culinary art of the Mediterranean region, along with Spanish cuisine and Greek cuisine. It is popular for its light dishes consisting of vegetables, fish, seafood, cheese, light and crusty bread and wine. French cuisine is famous for its cheeses, of which there are about 400 varieties and which are served at the end of each meal. France is especially famous for its wines, champagne and ciders, which are added to most meals. Light and crunchy are the typical types of bread in France, namely baguette, brioche and croissant. The French are fond of sweets, and end every meal with a dessert, such as creme brulee, tart, macarons or pear dessert.
