European cuisine is based mainly on flour, potato and meat dishes. Europeans have the ability to digest milk, so European cuisine has an abundance of cheeses, creams, cream, while milk is an accompaniment to many dishes. The main meat is pork, while grains are wheat. Due to the different climate, European cuisine is divided into Mediterranean cuisine and cuisine of northern countries. Mediterranean cuisine is light, non-fattening, based on vegetables, olive oil and cheese. Northern cuisine, on the other hand, is filling, heavy and caloric, based on flour dishes, potatoes, dairy products.
